Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to support the successful delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside expert owner-side leadership teams, playing a critical part in managing contractor activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects meet safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Based in Reno, this field-based position exposes you to some of the most complex and advanced mission-critical construction projects globally. Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated owner-side oversight of active construction activities on-site
- Monitor contractor performance and daily progress, ensuring alignment with project milestones
- Support schedule management and collaborate to achieve key project deadlines
- Identify project risks and proactively escalate issues for resolution
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and all project stakeholders
- Participate actively in project meetings and site walks to maintain field presence
- Review construction progress in line with project objectives and quality standards
- Support quality assurance processes and commissioning readiness activities
- Assist in resolving issues related to mechanical, electrical, and building systems
- Produce and communicate clear, concise project updates to leadership teams
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial projects
- Proven track record of strong field-based construction experience
- Experience collaborating directly with general contractors and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and project execution
- Eagerness to advance into Senior Construction Manager leadership roles
Preferred Experience
- Experience with hyperscale data center projects is highly desirable
- Background in owner-side or developer-side project environments
- Experience in tenant improvement and fit-out activities
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical infrastructure installations, hydronic cooling systems, large generators, and electrical distribution systems
- Commissioning and turnover support experience
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Bluebeam software tools
