Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead owner-side construction delivery for hyperscale data center projects. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in complex construction environments and is passionate about influencing project outcomes. As the face of the project, you will provide strong leadership across construction, schedule management, contractor coordination, and team development. Responsibilities
- Lead owner-side construction delivery across large-scale hyperscale data center projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the owner and general contractors.
- Drive schedule adherence, facilitate recovery planning, and ensure milestone achievement.
- Hold contractors accountable for their commitments, deliverables, and performance standards.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate key stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Identify risks, remove barriers, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Oversee quality, safety, and execution standards throughout the construction process.
- Support commissioning readiness and manage project turnover activities.
- Mentor and develop Construction Managers, Assistant Construction Managers, and field teams.
- Provide leadership across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in construction management.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale data center, mission-critical, or industrial projects.
- Experience in owner-side, developer-side, or consulting roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contractor management and project execution.
- Experience operating within hyperscale environments such as AWS, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Switch, Vantage, or similar organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Expertise in schedule management and construction sequencing.
Preferred Experience
- Hyperscale data center construction experience.
- Exposure to large mission-critical facilities.
- Knowledge of tenant improvement and fit-out phases.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with hydronic cooling systems.
- Experience managing large generator installations.
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems and e-houses.
- Commissioning and turnover preparation experience.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Bluebeam software.
