Job Title: Senior Test & Verification Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and self-directed Senior Test & Verification Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity based in Lidingö, Stockholm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analogue power electronics and audio integrity testing, combined with proven experience building test and verification frameworks from the ground up. This role requires hands-on expertise across EMC and environmental compliance testing, signal integrity and thermal and stress testing, alongside a demonstrable ability to produce high-quality test documentation - plans, templates and verification records - that support a product's transition from development into production. As Senior Test & Verification Engineer, you will work directly with the CTO and a small, focused R&D team at a pivotal moment in the company's technology journey, taking full ownership of the end-to-end verification programme. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage a collaborative and pragmatic approach where technical rigour and clear communication are equally valued.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the complete end-to-end test and verification strategy for hardware and firmware products currently in late-stage development.
- Define test criteria, build test templates and produce clear, structured documentation required to transition products from development into production.
- Lead testing across all key disciplines: audio integrity and analogue power amplifier performance, DSP functionality, thermal behaviour, stress testing, signal integrity, digital communications and EMC/environmental compliance.
- Write and maintain high-quality test documentation - including test plans, templates and verification records - suitable for ongoing production use beyond this engagement.
- Identify the scope of the verification roadmap and strategise the path to full production readiness.
- Support and lead compliance activities in line with relevant EMC and environmental standards.
- Assess existing automated test capability and identify improvements using the current legacy tooling.
- Support board-level integration between the main board and power amplifier board.
- Collaborate directly with the CTO and internal R&D team on all aspects of validation planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience designing and owning test and verification strategies for hardware products - including building frameworks and documentation from scratch.
- Strong background in analogue power electronics and audio integrity testing, including amplifier performance characterisation and signal quality measurement.
- Demonstrated experience writing test documentation, templates and verification plans to a production-ready standard - this is a core requirement of the role.
- Hands-on experience conducting or leading EMC and environmental compliance testing activities.
- Experience with thermal, stress and signal integrity testing in a hardware development context.
- Ability to understand system architecture and board-level design in order to define meaningful and complete test coverage.
- Familiarity with embedded software and firmware testing, particularly in a DSP or mixed-signal context, is a strong advantage.
- Experience with digital communications protocols and signal integrity in a hardware context is desirable.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and a willingness to assess and improve existing automated test capability.
- Proven ability to operate independently and lead the work without close supervision in a small, focused team environment.
- Conversational Swedish is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Audio Engineering or a related field is preferred.
We value diversity and encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, genders and experiences. Join us in supporting a significant and technically ambitious product transition at a company with over 60 years of heritage in the audio electronics industry.
