MEP Commissioning Manager - Ohio

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MEP Commissioning Manager to join our team in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, particularly in data center environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful commissioning of data centers with a focus on safety, quality, and performance. Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning process for MEP systems in data centers from planning through execution and closeout
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and reports to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to coordinate commissioning activities
• Perform inspections, functional performance testing, and troubleshooting of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety excellence
• Provide training and mentorship to commissioning staff, encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing
• Document commissioning results and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement
• Support sustainability initiatives and help integrate energy-efficient practices into commissioning workflows

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MEP commissioning with a focus on data center projects
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and critical systems performance requirements
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices related to MEP commissioning
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across multiple disciplines
• Relevant certifications in commissioning or related fields are preferred (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional, LEED)
