The Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support an exciting V-Band High Power Amplifier (HPA) project, as it moves from detailed design into prototype build, testing and evaluation.

This is a hands-on role focused on helping take the hardware through the final stages of development. You will support outstanding mechanical design activities, prototype builds and, importantly, the planning and execution of a high volume of testing.

You will work closely with Mechanical and Systems Engineers, Production Engineering, Project Managers and external suppliers to ensure the prototype is built, tested and fully documented.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the completion of outstanding mechanical design activities.

• Producing and updating CAD models, drawings, assemblies and BOMs.

• Supporting prototype builds, assembly and integration of hardware.

• Writing test plans, test procedures and test schedules.

• Setting up, commissioning and carrying out prototype testing.

• Supporting thermal, vibration and environmental testing.

• Investigating test failures and identifying mechanical issues.

• Implementing design modifications and supporting re-testing.

• Analysing test results and producing technical reports and recommendations.

• Managing engineering changes, revisions and configuration-controlled documentation.

• Producing manufacturing and assembly documentation.

• Working with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve build issues.

• Supporting design reviews and project milestones.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in Mechanical Engineers with a strong background in prototype development and testing.

You should have:

• Mechanical engineering experience within a prototype or product development environment.

• Hands-on experience supporting prototype builds and engineering testing.

• Experience writing test plans, test scripts, procedures or schedules.

• Experience physically setting
