Protecting Soldiers from Chemical Threats
For soldiers in the field, knowing whether an area is safe can mean the difference between life and death. Chemical threats are invisible but deadly, and rapid detection is critical.
Our partner secured a project from the Ministry of Defence in 2023 to develop and deliver the next generation of chemical detection capabilities, and are currently working on three innovative chemical sensor products: a wearable personal chemical agent sensor, a survey chemical agent sensor and a portable device designed to assess potentially hazardous areas or surfaces.
Over the past year they’ve leveraged Coalesce Management Consulting’s engineering expertise to enhance their embedded software capacity, bringing in four specialists in real-time embedded software. These experts are responsible for developing the code that powers these sensors, which ultimately detect deadly chemical agents and protect soldiers on the battlefield.
