Job Description: SCADA / OT Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SCADA / OT Engineer to join our diverse and inclusive team. In this role, you will support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA and Operational Technology (OT) systems that are critical for monitoring and controlling our utility infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA and OT systems to ensure reliable monitoring and control of utility infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain SCADA servers, databases, communication networks, and field device integrations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate RTUs, PLCs, IEDs, and substation equipment into the SCADA environment.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze real-time telemetry, alarms, and control signals, and resolve any operational issues promptly.
  • Assist with SCADA system upgrades, patching, and maintaining configuration management.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for OT architecture, system configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with cybersecurity teams to adhere to OT security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support operational teams through system diagnostics, incident response, and outage troubleshooting.
  • Aid in implementation and ongoing support of control center technologies such as EMS, DMS, ADMS, or historian systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SCADA/OT engineering or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA servers, communication protocols, databases, and configuration management.
  • Experience integrating RTUs, PLCs, IEDs, and substation equipment into SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and compliance for OT environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and deliver timely solutions.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment where diversity is celebrated.
  • Relevant certifications or educational background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related disciplines are advantageous.
